Description

Warm, fluffy cinnamon rolls with a delightful chai glaze, perfect for special occasions or cozy Sundays.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warmed milk and sugar; sprinkle yeast over the top and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add in flour, salt, eggs, and softened butter; mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Place in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size, around 1 hour.
  5. Roll out dough into a rectangular shape; spread a mixture of cinnamon, chai spices, and sugar on top.
  6. Roll the dough tightly and slice into individual rolls.
  7. Place rolls in a greased baking pan and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. For glaze, mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth and drizzle over warm rolls.
