- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add mushrooms and onions, sautéing until soft.
- Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir well.
- Gradually add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, whisking until a smooth gravy forms.
- Once meatloaf is cooked (internal temperature of 160°F/71°C), serve topped with mushroom gravy.
Notes
Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes after baking for juicier slices.
