- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, green onions, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined.
- Scoop out portions of the mixture and shape them into small puffs.
- Roll each puff in breadcrumbs to coat.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the puffs until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm as a side dish or snack.
Notes
Make sure your mashed potatoes are not too watery for better shaping. Experiment with different types of cheese for varied flavors.
