Ingredients

- 500g all-purpose flour
- 200g granulated sugar
- 25g fresh yeast
- 300ml warm milk
- 100g unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- Powdered sugar (for serving)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the fresh yeast to warm milk and let it activate for about 5 minutes.
- Pour the yeast mixture and melted butter into the flour mixture.
- Add the eggs and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Once risen, roll the dough into a rectangle and brush with melted butter.
- Roll the dough into a log and shape it into a spiral.
- Place each spiral onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Let them rise again for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.
Notes
For variations, consider adding fillings like chocolate or almond paste, or dusting with cinnamon sugar.
