- 1 lb kataifi dough
- 1 cup mixed nuts (walnuts, almonds, pistachios), chopped
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 cup honey (for drizzling)
- 1/4 cup crushed pistachios (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the chopped nuts, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Carefully shred the kataifi dough and cover it with a damp cloth to keep moist.
- Take a small amount of kataifi dough, brush with melted butter, and fill it with the nut mixture, then roll it into logs.
- Place the rolled kataifi on a baking sheet and brush with more melted butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with warm honey, then sprinkle with crushed pistachios.
- Let it rest for 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
Keep your dough moist while working, and let the baked kataifi sit to allow syrup absorption.
