- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1 cinnamon stick
Instructions
- Rinse the cranberries and discard any blemished ones.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the cranberries, sugar, orange juice, and orange zest. Stir until the mixture starts bubbling.
- Add the cinnamon stick and reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and let it cool completely before transferring it to an airtight container.
Notes
Serve chilled or at room temperature. Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar. For a twist, try adding a splash of port or red wine.
