Description

Nutritious and customizable breakfast bowls that can be prepared in advance, perfect for busy mornings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup milk or plant-based milk (almond, soy, coconut, etc.)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or plant-based yogurt (e.g., coconut or almond yogurt for vegan option)
  • 12 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, nutmeg, or pumpkin spice (optional)
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen fruits (berries, banana slices, mango, pineapple, etc.)
  • 2 tablespoons nuts and seeds (walnuts, almonds, chia seeds, hemp seeds)
  • Optional garnishes: fresh mint leaves, drizzle of nut butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl or mason jar, combine 1/2 cup rolled oats with 1/2 to 3/4 cup of your chosen milk or plant-based milk. Stir well, cover, and refrigerate overnight.
  2. The next morning, add in 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt or your preferred creamy ingredient.
  3. Drizzle 1-2 teaspoons of honey or maple syrup for sweetness, and sprinkle in 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon, nutmeg, or pumpkin spice if desired.
  4. Load your bowl with 1/2 cup of fresh or frozen fruits and scatter 2 tablespoons of nuts or seeds on top.
  5. Enjoy immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
