Description

A delicious mashup of classic mac and cheese and a grilled cheese sandwich, perfect for kids and adults alike.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of sourdough or Texas toast
  • 1 cup elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook elbow macaroni according to package directions; drain.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in milk and cheese until smooth to create mac and cheese.
  3. Let the mac and cheese cool slightly.
  4. Spread the mac and cheese between the slices of bread.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwich for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melty.
