Description

A smooth, zesty, and cheesy dip that’s spicy yet approachable, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 brick cream cheese, softened
  • 2 fresh jalapenos, chopped (seeds in for heat)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Green onions or chopped cilantro for topping

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, plop in the softened cream cheese. If it’s not soft enough, microwave for 15 seconds.
  2. Chop the jalapenos into tiny bits and add to the bowl.
  3. Mix in shredded cheddar, mayonnaise, garlic powder, and lime juice.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, then taste with a chip to adjust flavors.
  5. Stir until creamy; add more mayo if too thick or an additional jalapeno for more heat.
  6. Chill in the fridge for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

This dip is great for make-ahead as the flavors improve over time. Serve with tortilla chips, veggies, or use in wraps.
