Description

Classic Italian meatballs simmered in a rich marinara sauce, perfect for family dinners or meal prep.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your pan over medium heat.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into bite-sized meatballs.
  4. In the preheated pan, sear the meatballs until golden brown on all sides.
  5. Add the marinara sauce to the pan and allow the meatballs to simmer for 20-30 minutes.
  6. Serve over spaghetti or in a sub sandwich, garnished with fresh basil or additional parmesan.

Notes

These meatballs freeze beautifully and can be reheated easily. Adjust seasonings to taste.
