- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (6–8 oz each)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3–4 minced garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
Instructions
- Season and lightly dredge chicken in flour, salt, and pepper.
- Sear chicken in olive oil over medium-high heat for about 4 minutes per side until golden brown; remove and set aside.
- Melt butter in the same skillet, then sauté garlic and sun-dried tomatoes for 1 minute.
- Deglaze with chicken broth and stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
- Return chicken to the pan and simmer gently, covered, for 8–10 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Finish with chopped basil and adjust salt and pepper to taste.
