- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate chicken strips in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare a seasoned flour coating by mixing flour, cayenne, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Double-coat the chicken: dredge in the seasoned flour, dip in batter (if applicable), then coat in breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a frying pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the coated chicken tenders in batches until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drizzle hot honey mixture over the fried tenders before serving.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend and use gluten-free breadcrumbs. Adjust the spice level as desired.
