Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup glutinous rice flour
  • 1/4 cup water (adjust as needed)
  • 1 cup sweet red bean paste
  • 1 cup toasted sesame seeds
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine glutinous rice flour and water to form a soft dough, adjusting the water as needed.
  2. Let the dough rest for at least 15-30 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into small pieces and flatten each piece in your palm.
  4. Place a small amount of sweet red bean paste in the center of each piece and shape it into a ball, sealing the filling inside.
  5. Roll each ball in toasted sesame seeds to coat evenly.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Fry the sesame balls in batches until they are golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.
  8. Drain on paper towels and serve warm or at room temperature.
