- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar

- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 egg, beaten
- Coarse salt for topping
Instructions
- Mix yeast, warm water, and brown sugar; let foamy for about 5 minutes.
- Add flour, salt, and melted butter; stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough until smooth; let rise in a warm place for 45 minutes.
- Boil bratwurst for about 5 minutes; slice into bite-sized pieces.
- Roll out the dough, cut into strips, and wrap around each bratwurst piece.
- Pinch to seal edges; let rest for a few minutes.
- Prepare a baking soda bath and dip each bite for about 30 seconds.
- Place on a baking tray, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) until golden brown, about 12-15 minutes.
