Description

Delicious bite-sized Mini Beef Wellingtons featuring tender beef, earthy mushrooms, and flaky pastry, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • Beef fillets (filet mignon or tenderloin)
  • Puff pastry
  • Finely chopped mushrooms
  • Garlic
  • Butter
  • Fresh herbs (thyme, parsley)
  • Egg (for wash)
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Sear the seasoned beef fillets in a hot pan until beautifully browned.
  2. Prepare the mushroom duxelles by sautéing finely chopped mushrooms with garlic and herbs in butter until cooked down.
  3. Let the mushroom mixture cool slightly.
  4. Wrap the beef and cooled duxelles in puff pastry, crimping the edges to seal them.
  5. Brush with egg wash for a golden finish and chill for 15 minutes.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.

Notes
