- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- 1 to 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 1–2 tablespoons orange zest
- 2–3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 pre-made or homemade pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, orange juice, and zest; cook until cranberries burst.
- Mix cornstarch with cold water, then add to the cranberry mixture to thicken.
- Fill the crust with the cranberry filling, and top with a lattice or crumb topping.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until bubbling and golden.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or citrus-spiced whipped cream for added flavor. Chilling homemade crust dough is recommended for flakiness.
