- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, hoisin sauce, five-spice powder, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
- Marinate the chicken in the mixture for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Place marinated chicken on a baking sheet and roast for 30 minutes, basting with marinade halfway through.
- Check chicken with a meat thermometer; it should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Serve over rice or in wraps with your favorite veggies.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, use tamari or coconut aminos instead of soy sauce.
