Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon pepper sauce (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a separate pan, melt butter over medium heat and sauté onions, bell peppers, and garlic until softened.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cooked macaroni with the sautéed mixture, cheeses, heavy cream, and pepper sauce; season with salt and pepper.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Let the pie rest for a few minutes before serving.
