Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups macaroni
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: scotch bonnet pepper or hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook macaroni until al dente, drain and set aside.
  3. In a large pot, combine milk, cheeses, thyme, nutmeg, salt, and pepper over medium heat until melted and creamy.
  4. Mix the cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and sprinkle with breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
