- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook macaroni until al dente, drain and set aside.
- In a large pot, combine milk, cheeses, thyme, nutmeg, salt, and pepper over medium heat until melted and creamy.
- Mix the cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish and sprinkle with breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
- Optional: Broil for an additional 5-10 minutes for a crisp topping.
