Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 4 slices American cheese
- 4 burger buns
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: crispy bacon, fresh avocado, jalapeños
Instructions
- Form the ground beef into thick patties, keeping them slightly thicker for juiciness.
- Season each patty generously with salt and pepper.
- Preheat a grill or pan to medium-high heat.
- Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until a sear is achieved.
- Add a slice of cheese on each patty about a minute before removing from heat to allow it to melt.

- Assemble the burgers using the buns and desired toppings.
Notes
Let the patties rest for a few minutes before assembling for enhanced juiciness.
