Description

Indulge in this guilt-free flourless chocolate cake made with dark chocolate and wholesome ingredients, perfect for any celebration.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz (226g) dark chocolate (70% cacao)
  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter
  • 3 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup (25g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
  • Fresh berries for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs, sugar, and cocoa powder until just combined.
  4. If using, stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until the edges are set but the center remains slightly soft.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar, slice, and serve with whipped cream and fresh berries if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the fridge for 5 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
