- 3 cups (750 ml) chicken or vegetable broth
- 2 garlic cloves, smashed
- 1 cm piece of ginger, grated
- 1.5 tablespoons light soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1.5 tablespoons Chinese cooking wine
Instructions
- In a pot, bring the chicken or vegetable broth to a boil.
- Add smashed garlic and grated ginger, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes to infuse flavors.
- Stir in light soy sauce, sugar, and Chinese cooking wine.
- Prepare the wontons separately (not included here) and cook them according to package instructions or your recipe.
- Serve the wontons in the broth and enjoy!
