Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup pure honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and sesame oil.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag or a shallow dish and pour half of the marinade over them. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Transfer the marinated chicken to a baking dish and pour the remaining marinade over it.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. For an extra glaze, broil for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  7. Serve on plates with extra sauce drizzled on top. Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.

Notes

Allow chicken to marinate longer for a stronger flavor. Adjust sweetness with honey. Add red pepper flakes for heat if desired.
