- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/3 cup honey
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In one bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, melted butter, and half of the honey until well blended.
- Gently combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed. Lumps are okay.
- Pour the batter into the greased dish and drizzle the remaining honey on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden brown. Let it cool slightly before slicing.
Notes
For extra flavor, spread butter or drizzle more honey on slices before serving.
