Description

Deliciously fluffy potato donuts drizzled with a sweet milk glaze, perfect for any time of the day.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked potatoes, mashed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the mashed potatoes and sugar.
  2. Add eggs and milk, mixing until smooth.
  3. Gradually incorporate the flour, baking powder, and salt until a dough forms that pulls away from the bowl.
  4. Chill the dough for about 30 minutes.
  5. Roll out the dough and cut into donut shapes using a donut cutter.
  6. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry the donuts until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Let cool on a wire rack, then glaze with a mixture of powdered sugar and milk.

Notes

Allow leftover donuts to cool completely before storing in an airtight container. Can be frozen for longer storage.
