Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk

  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni in salted boiling water until just al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, then whisk in flour to create a roux, cooking until golden.
  3. Gradually whisk in warm milk until the mixture thickens into a smooth sauce.
  4. Stir in grated cheeses until melted and creamy.
  5. Mix the cheese sauce with macaronis until evenly coated.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish, top with panko breadcrumbs, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes
