Description

Soft, fluffy, and delicious homemade dinner rolls that are easy to make and perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 2¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the top and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Create a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture.
  3. Add melted butter and mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  4. On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour until it doubles in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Punch down the risen dough, shape it into balls, and place them on a greased baking sheet. Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Brush the tops with melted butter before baking for an extra delicious finish. Can add herbs, garlic, or cheese for added flavor. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
