Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water (110°F)
- 2¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the top and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Create a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture.
- Add melted butter and mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- On a floured surface, knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and allow it to rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Punch down risen dough, shape into balls, place on greased baking sheet, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
Brush melted butter on top right after baking for a nice shine and added flavor.
