			- 12 ounces fresh cranberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 teaspoons orange zest
- 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Rinse fresh cranberries under cold water, discarding any bad berries.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the cranberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to low. Stir in orange zest and cinnamon, and simmer for about 10 minutes until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and let cool completely before transferring to an airtight container.
Notes
Make sure to rinse the cranberries well to remove any dirt. If you prefer a sweeter sauce, adjust the sugar to your taste. For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg or a splash of vanilla extract. You can experiment with other citrus zests, like lemon or lime, for a different twist.
