- 12 ounces fresh cranberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 teaspoons orange zest
- 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Rinse the fresh cranberries under cold water, discarding any bad berries.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the cranberries, sugar, and water; bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to low, stir in the orange zest and cinnamon, and simmer for about 10 minutes until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and let cool completely before transferring to an airtight container.
Notes
Taste the sauce while it cooks to adjust the sweetness. You can also add a splash of juice or spices for different flavors.
