Delicious homemade Almond Joys made with chocolate, coconut, and almonds, capturing the essence of the classic candy bar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 24 whole almonds
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix sweetened shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  2. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  3. Shape the chilled mixture into small bars and place on a baking sheet.
  4. Top each bar with a whole almond.
  5. Dip each bar into the melted dark chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated.
  6. Place the chocolate-coated bars back on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper and allow to set at room temperature.

Notes

For a nut-free option, replace almonds with sunflower seeds. To make dairy-free, use dairy-free chocolate and coconut cream.
