Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. If using homemade crust, roll it out and place it in a 9-inch pie pan.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, eggs, sugar, heavy cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt until smooth.
  4. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes at 425°F, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for 35-40 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  6. Let cool completely before serving.

Notes
