- 1 (5-6 pound) turkey breast
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine the softened butter, rosemary, thyme, parsley, garlic, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
- Gently loosen the skin of the turkey breast and spread the herb butter mixture underneath the skin.
- Place the turkey breast on a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven.
- Baste the turkey with its juices every 30 minutes.
- Roast until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let the turkey rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Letting the turkey rest after roasting helps to redistribute the juices.
