Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in the microwave for 20-30 seconds until melty.
  2. Whisk in brown sugar until it resembles wet sand.
  3. Add corn syrup, vanilla extract, and the egg; mix until smooth.
  4. Fold in chopped pecans.
  5. Pour the mixture over half-baked brownies.
  6. Continue baking until fully set, then let cool for at least an hour before slicing.

Notes

Line your pan with parchment paper for easier removal. Underbake the brownies for a few minutes before adding the pecan topping for the best texture.
