- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)

- 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two heart-shaped baking pans.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with milk, until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow cooling before frosting.
Notes
Let the cake cool completely before frosting to prevent melting. You can use different flavored extracts for a unique twist.
