A versatile and healthy recipe for making gelatin gels that support skin and joint health.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 envelope (2 1/4 tsp / ~7 g) gelatin
- 1/4–1/2 cup cold water
- 2 cups (475 mL) of liquid (fruit juice, stock, or milk)
Instructions
- Sprinkle gelatin evenly over cold water and let bloom for 5–10 minutes.
- Warm the remaining liquid to about 120–140°F (50–60°C).
- Stir in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve.
- Pour into molds and chill for 2–4 hours until set.
Notes
Use silicone molds for easy release. To speed up setting, chill in a shallow pan.
