Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon (about 9 g) unflavored gelatin powder
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) cold water (for blooming)
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) hot water at about 160–180°F (70–82°C) to dissolve gelatin
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) cold water, chilled tea, or zero-calorie flavored drink
- 1–2 tsp lemon juice or sweetener (optional)
- Ice (optional)
Instructions
- Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over 1/4 cup cold water in a small bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
- Heat 1/4 cup of water to 160–180°F (70–82°C). Pour over the bloomed gelatin and stir until fully dissolved (30–60 seconds).
- Whisk in the chilled water or tea, plus lemon juice or sweetener if using. For an ultra-smooth finish, blend for 5–10 seconds with an immersion blender.
- Serve immediately over ice or refrigerate for 20–30 minutes to slightly thicken. Drink within 24–48 hours for best texture.
Notes
Use filtered water and high-quality unflavored gelatin for the best taste. An immersion blender helps achieve a smooth texture.
