Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces spaghetti or linguine
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Boil pasta in salted water until al dente; reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the shrimp and garlic butter sauce, tossing to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
- Stir in remaining butter, and garnish with fresh parsley and lemon juice before serving.
Notes
Serve with a side salad or crusty bread for a complete meal. Adjust garlic quantity to taste for a milder or stronger flavor.
