A delightful dish that combines succulent shrimp with a luscious garlic butter sauce, all tossed with al dente pasta.

  • Total Time: 25
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces spaghetti or linguine
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente; reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta with the shrimp and garlic butter sauce, tossing to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
  6. Stir in remaining butter, and garnish with fresh parsley and lemon juice before serving.

Notes

Serve with a side salad or crusty bread for a complete meal. Adjust garlic quantity to taste for a milder or stronger flavor.
