Description

Incredibly rich and fudgy brownies made with browned butter and high-quality dark chocolate for a complex, chocolatey finish and a glossy, crackly top.


Ingredients

  • 10 tablespoons (140 g) unsalted butter
  • 4 oz (115 g) chopped dark chocolate (70%)
  • 1 1/4 cups (250 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup (95 g) all-purpose flour
  • A pinch of flaky salt

Instructions

  1. Brown the unsalted butter in a light-colored skillet over medium heat for about 6–8 minutes until nutty and amber.
  2. Remove from heat, add chopped dark chocolate, and stir until melted and smooth.
  3. Whisk in granulated sugar and eggs one at a time until combined.
  4. Gently fold in all-purpose flour and flaky salt until no dry ingredients remain.
  5. Pour the batter into a parchment-lined 8×8-inch pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F (177°C) for 20–28 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly underdone.
  7. Let cool before serving.

Notes

For variations, try adding nuts or a cheesecake swirl before baking. Best served warm with ice cream or dusted with powdered sugar.
