- 8 mozzarella sticks
- 1 cup crushed Doritos (choose preferred flavor)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup fine breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil, for deep frying
Instructions
- Arrange crushed Doritos, all-purpose flour, and breadcrumbs in separate shallow dishes.
- Beat the eggs in a separate bowl until smooth.
- Coat each mozzarella stick in flour, shaking off the excess.
- Dip the coated stick into the beaten eggs, then cover with crushed Doritos. Repeat for extra crunch.
- Transfer breaded mozzarella sticks to a plate and freeze for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 190°C (375°F).
- Fry mozzarella sticks in small batches for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
For a spicier kick, consider adding cayenne pepper to the breadcrumbs. You can also experiment with different flavors of Doritos.
