- 1 lb fresh Southern green beans, trimmed
- 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Wash and trim the green beans and slice the beef against the grain.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add the beef strips to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes, then set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic followed by the green beans. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet, mix well with the green beans, and let the flavors meld for another minute. Serve immediately.
Notes
This dish pairs excellently with rice or crusty bread. You can customize by adding bell peppers or onions.
