Ingredients

  • 1 packet Gulab Jamun mix
  • Cardamom (a pinch)
  • Rose water (a few drops)
  • 200g Kunafa pastry
  • 100g melted ghee
  • Sugar syrup (prepared with sugar and water)
  • Pistachios (finely chopped for garnish)
  • Rose petals (for garnish)
  • Mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Gulab Jamun mix according to package instructions, adding cardamom and rose water.
  2. Shred the Kunafa into manageable pieces and mix with melted ghee until it resembles moist sand.
  3. Press the Kunafa mixture into the molds of a muffin tin to form nests.
  4. Fill each nest with warm Gulab Jamun.
  5. Fry the nests until golden brown.
  6. Soak the fried nests in warm sugar syrup immediately after frying.
  7. Garnish with pistachios, rose petals, and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze nests without syrup for about one month.
