A simple and tasty breakfast sandwich combining creamy eggs, savory ham, and melted cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of classic sandwich bread
  • 3 heaping tablespoons of unsalted butter, split up
  • 1 creamy slice of cheddar cheese
  • 2 hearty slices of ham from the deli
  • 3 eggs, already whisked
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon flaky kosher salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, kosher salt, and white pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
  3. Spread the remaining tablespoon of butter on one side of both bread slices.
  4. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and let spread out; place both bread slices, buttery sides up, onto the eggs.
  5. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes until the eggs are set.
  6. Gently turn the sandwich over so the bread is down and the eggs are underneath, cooking until fully set.
  7. Add the cheddar slice on one piece of bread, stack with ham, and any extra egg if desired.
  8. Flip the other bread slice over the ham and cheese, then turn the sandwich to cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the bread is golden.

Notes

Serve warm and consider cutting in half for easier eating. Pair with fresh fruit or coffee for a complete breakfast.
