A delightful dessert blending tart apples with a sweet, crunchy topping, served warm with ice cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups Granny Smith or Honeycrisp Apples (Peeled, cored, and sliced into thin wedges)
  • ¾ cup Granulated Sugar
  • ½ cup Brown Sugar (Packed light or dark)
  • 1½ cups Rolled Oats

  • 1 scoop Ice Cream (Your favorite flavor)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toss sliced apples with granulated sugar and cinnamon in a mixing bowl.
  3. Transfer the apple mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt; mix thoroughly.
  5. Melt the butter and mix it into the dry ingredients until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples.
  7. Bake for about 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  8. Let it cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream on top.

Notes

For added flavor, drizzle caramel or chocolate sauce over the ice cream. Use a mix of tart and sweet apples for a complex flavor.
