Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat until it’s no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onions and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes and beef broth.
- Add the macaroni and allow the mixture to simmer until the pasta is tender.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs and accompanied by crusty bread if desired.
Notes
Brown the beef well for better flavor. Use quality low-sodium broth and aim for al dente pasta to avoid mushiness.
