Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- ¾ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 2 tbsp melted butter (or vegetable oil)
- ½ cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the sugar, egg, milk, and melted butter until fully combined.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about ¾ full.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the donuts are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the donuts are baking, mix the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. After the donuts cool for a few minutes, roll each one in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until well-coated.
