Easy and spooky brownies swirled with cream cheese, perfect for Halloween celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 box (9×13 size) dark chocolate brownie mix
  • Food coloring (orange & purple for Halloween)
  • Optional: Halloween sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare a baking pan with foil or parchment.
  2. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions.
  4. Add food coloring to the cream cheese mixture as desired.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the pan, then swirl in the cream cheese mixture, followed by the remaining brownie batter.
  6. Bake until just set in the middle, being careful not to overbake.
  7. Let cool, then cut into squares and serve. Optionally, top with melted chocolate and candy eyes.

Notes

For a Halloween twist, drizzle melted chocolate and add candy eyes. Can be made gluten or dairy free with appropriate substitutes.
