- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup almond milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup vegan butter, melted
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm almond milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture and melted vegan butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Once risen, roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and sprinkle it over the rolled dough.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice it into rounds.
- Place rolls in a greased baking pan and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
Serve with vegan butter or maple syrup. Store in an airtight container or freeze for longer shelf life.
