Description

A cozy and sweet vegan cinnamon swirl bread that fills your kitchen with the aroma of cinnamon.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup almond milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup vegan butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm almond milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and melted vegan butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  6. Once risen, roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  7. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and sprinkle it over the rolled dough.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and slice it into rounds.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking pan and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Serve with vegan butter or maple syrup. Store in an airtight container or freeze for longer shelf life.
