Description

Crunchy, creamy jalapeño cream cheese wontons that are perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 jalapeños, finely chopped (seeded for mild)
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) shredded sharp cheddar
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped green onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Wonton wrappers
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with jalapeños, cheddar, green onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Chill the mixture for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of filling onto the center of each wonton wrapper.
  4. Moisten the edges with water, fold into a triangle or purse, and press to seal.
  5. Fry in oil heated to 350°F (175°C) for 1–2 minutes per side until golden, or bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12–14 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Notes

Serve warm with dipping sauces like ranch or sweet chili sauce. Keep the filling chilled for easier handling.
