A simple and delicious homemade cranberry sauce that will elevate your holiday meals.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup orange juice (or water)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
  • Grated orange zest (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, and orange juice (or water).
  2. Add the cinnamon stick if using.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. Simmer until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens, about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness as desired.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool, then store in a sealed container in the fridge.

Notes

Cranberry sauce can be made in advance and stored for up to a week in the fridge or frozen for longer storage. Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
